7th Grader Competes in Summer Swim Meets

Rising seventh grader Pauline Deng competed in the Pacific Northwest Swimming Long Course Age Group Championships in July, with over 50 teams and more than 800 age 14 and under swimmers competing in this swim meet.

Pauline had six individual events and four relays in this Championships meet. She scored a total of 104 points for all her individual events, and is in the 3rd overall place in the 11-12 girls group.

Pauline's individual events and scores:
  • 1st place for 400 Meters Individual Medley
  • 1st place for 200 Meters Butterfly
  • 2nd place for 200 Meters Individual Medley
  • 2nd place for 1500 Meters Freestyle
  • 4th place for 100 Meters Butterfly
  • 4th place for 200 Meters Breaststroke

She was also on the teams for the relay:
  • 1st place for 400 Meters Medley Relay
  • 2nd place for 400 Meters Freestyle Relay  
  • 4th place for 200 Meters Medley Relay
  • 12th place for 200 Meters Freestyle Relay

Pauline now keeps practicing for the Zone team, and will go to Kearns, Utah to represent WA State in the 2016 Western Zone Age Group Championships August 10-13. Go get 'em, Pauline!
