Annie Wright Schools want to invest in you, a future Ambassador for this new era of partnership between Pyeongtaek and Tacoma. Could you be the next Pyeongtaek Scholar?

As we prepare to launch our new school in Pyeongtaek, we are eager to start building strong bonds with the Pyeongtaek community. Creating early ties between our cities will help lay a strong foundation for the partnership and collaboration between a legacy built beginning in 1884 at Annie Wright Schools in Tacoma, and the new legacy we hope to build beginning in 2026 in Pyeongtaek.

평택에 새 학교를 설립할 준비를 하면서, 우리는 평택 지역사회와 굳건한 유대 관계를 구축하기를 간절히 바랍니다. 양 도시 간 조기 유대 형성은 1884년 타코마의 애니 라이트 스쿨에서 시작된 유산과 2026년 평택에서 시작하고자 하는 새로운 유산 간의 협력과 파트너십을 위한 견고한 기반을 마련하는 데 도움이 될 것입니다.

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible, applicants to the Pyeongtaek Scholarship must be entering Grades 9–11 and must have resided in Pyeongtaek, South Korea for a minimum of three years. There is no separate application process beyond providing proof of residency.

누가 자격이 있나요?
평택 장학금 지원 자격을 갖추려면, 지원자는 9학년부터 11학년까지 진학 예정이어야 하며, 대한민국 평택시에서 최소 3년 이상 거주한 경력이 있어야 합니다. 거주 증명서 제출 외에 별도의 신청 절차는 없습니다.
Scholarship Details
- Number of Scholarships: Each year, up to four scholarships are awarded to students from Pyeongtaek—two in the Upper School for Girls and two in the Upper School for Boys.
- Award Amount: Pyeongtaek Scholarships include:
  - A scholarship award equal to 50% of your tuition and boarding fees
  - One (1) Round Trip ticket Seoul - Tacoma
  - All IB testing fees
- Renewal criteria: Scholarships are renewable every year, provided you maintain good academic standing and continue to contribute positively to the AWS community.

장학금 세부 사항
- 장학생 수: 매년 평택 출신 학생 중 최대 4명에게 장학금이 수여됩니다 - 여고부 2명, 남고부 2명입니다.
- 수여 금액: 평택 장학금에는 다음이 포함됩니다:
  - 등록금의 50%에 해당하는 장학금
  - 서울-타코마 왕복 항공권 1매
  - 모든 IB 시험 응시료
- 갱신 기준: 장학금은 매년 갱신 가능합니다. 단, 우수한 학업 성적을 유지하고 AWS 커뮤니티에 지속적으로 긍정적으로 기여해야 합니다.
Selection Process

The scholarship decision is integrated into the standard admissions process. If you are admitted and selected for the scholarship, you will receive information about your scholarship award along with your admission decision and contract.

선발 과정
장학금 결정은 표준 입학 절차에 통합되어 있습니다. 입학 허가를 받고 장학금 수혜자로 선정된 경우, 입학 허가 결정 및 계약서와 함께 장학금 수여에 관한 정보를 받게 됩니다.
