Middle School

Student Support

Annie Wright’s Middle School Student Support program is designed to meet each student’s individual needs, encourage academic and personal growth, and cultivate self-management skills that promote independence and confidence.

Middle School Learning Support Department

The Middle School program combines Learning Support and Counseling Services to ensure every student has access to the resources and relationships needed to thrive in middle school.

The Student Support team includes:
  • Middle School Learning Support Director
  • Middle School Learning Support Teachers
  • Math Specialist (Kindergarten – Grade 8)
  • Middle School Learning Support Assistant

Through a combination of academic support and social-emotional guidance, Annie Wright equips middle school students with the tools and confidence to navigate challenges and achieve personal growth.
Annie Wright Schools offer accommodations for students to help ensure that each individual has an opportunity to learn and to demonstrate that learning has occurred. Here are some examples of the types of accommodations offered in the different divisions:

Learning Support

The Middle School Learning Support Department provides individualized academic support to help students reach their full potential. Learning Support Specialists collaborate with classroom teachers to make learning accessible for every student while maintaining high academic expectations. Support may take place within the classroom or in small-group settings where students can build confidence, develop self-advocacy skills, and better understand their learning profiles.

Students diagnosed with a learning disorder or disability may qualify for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These accommodations are outlined in an Individual Accommodation Plan (IAP), which helps ensure equitable access to learning opportunities.
