Former AWS Board Member Theresa Pan Hosely Receives Honorary PhD for Service Leadership
Theresa Pan Hosley, Annie Wright board member 2004-2010 and mother of Jennifer Pan '04, will receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Puget Sound this weekend for her service leadership in Tacoma.
A Taiwanese immigrant, Theresa has been particularly active in promoting intercultural understanding, literacy and women's issues. She served as president of the Chinese Reconciliation Project Foundation, which established the Chinese Reconciliation Park on the waterfront in North Tacoma. She also served as a board member for the Korean Women's Association and Bates College, and as a principal at the Tacoma Chinese Language School.
