Upper School Athletes Qualify for Tri-District and State Tournaments
Annie Wright athletes qualified for Tri-Districts in all three spring sports: tennis, golf and track.
Green Tie Class of '15 student Samantha Weeks took home All-League honors in tennis, finishing 3rd in the singles bracket. She went on to place an impressive 3rd in the State Tournament on May 30-31 in Yakima.
Blue Tie Class of ’16 students Tana Givens and Crystal Zheng qualified for the Tri-District Tournament in Golf, finishing in 5th and 11th respectively. Tana also received All-League honors for her performance throughout the season and narrowly missed qualifying for the State tournament.
In track, Yellow Tie Class of ’17 student Annika Cederstrand was voted Emerald City League Rookie of the Year, having the best high jump of the season at 5’00”. Annika, along with Red Tie Class of ’14 runners Juli Jugan (3200m) and Megan Absten (100m, 200m and 4x400 relay) advanced to the Track Tri-District Tournament on May 22.
