Clare Jeong Wins Korean Press "Most Inspirational Athlete of the Year" award
Last Wednesday, Korea Sports USA news media recognized Red Tie Class of '14 student and incoming ASB president Clare Jeong as “the most inspirational athlete of the year.” One winner of this award is chosen each year, and Clare is the fifth recipient of the award. Previous winners include Olympic figure skater Yuna Kim and former Mariner, now Cincinnati Reds, outfielder Shin Soo Choo.
Clare, who was honored with the award in a special ceremony at Annie Wright, is the US Junior National Champion speedskater, which means she is the fastest speed skater under the age 18 in the country.
