Grade 4 student Parker Briggs was one of 11 winners of the 3-Minute Masterpiece digital film contest, sponsored by The Seattle International Film Festival and The Seattle Times, in May. Parker’s short film Freddie Hits the Pipe, adapted from the 1921 children's book The Old Tobacco Shop, also won the Seattle Times readers’ choice award.
