Our own Day School Spanish teacher, Nora de Sandoval, has been chosen to chair the annual Washington Association for Language Teaching (WAFLT) Spring Regional Conference, at Pacific Lutheran University, on February 22, 2014.

Founded in 1964, the association serves a membership of several hundred elementary through university level language teachers. WAFLT seeks to meet the needs of a profession dedicated to the teaching of world language skills and cultural awareness by providing information and sensitive global perspectives in an era of ever-increasing internationalization. Leadership in this organization is a strong example of our commitment, as an IB World School, to the International Baccalaureate Programme.
