Three Annie Wright Middle School students, Josh Oie in Grade 6, Christopher Cho in Grade 7, and Nick Vipond in Grade 8, played for Washington Premier Football Club teams that advanced to the state championships last weekend. The competition, Virginia Mason US Youth Soccer Washington State Championships, is the most prestigious youth soccer tournament of the year for our state and showcases the highest level of competitive play at the Under 12 - Under 18 age groups. Each year the tournament attracts more than 6,000 participants.
Christopher Cho's and Nick Vipond's teams were both champions and now advance to the US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships in Hawaii in June. Read more about their victories here. Congratulations to all three boys for a tremendous season!
