The Elementary Level "In DIsguise" team, The Awesome Armadillos, managed by Lower School science teacher Emily Russell, placed 1st in the Fine Arts challenge, and received the Renaissance Award for "Outstanding Design, Engineering, Execution, or Performance." This the second State Level Renaissance Award this team has received.
Our other teams also fared well. The Middle School "Change in RealiTee" team, managed by Middle School world studies and English teacher David Gardner, placed 5th in the Middle Level Improv Challenge. The Elementary Level "Twist-o-Rama" team, managed by Day School art teacher Shannon Leenstra, placed 6th in the Elementary Structure Challenge. The Elementary "Wind Visible" team, also managed by Emily Russell, placed 3rd in the Scientific Challenge.
The teams, Team Managers, and parents did a fantastic job of representing our school and the Rainier Region at this event. Congratulations D.I. teams!
