This year's Tacoma Reads Together book was Wonder, the same book Mr. Gardner assigned for summer reading between Grades 5 and 6. Annie Wright's Grade 6 has been using Wonder in discussions and essays this year. On Saturday, April 6, Grade 6 students Julia Hanly, Arya Kukreja and Holly Shadko had the opportunity to have lunch with the author, R. J. Palacio, at the Tacoma Library and talk about Wonder and the impact it has had on them.
