Annie Wright junior Kadie Brown is now in her third year of rowing with the Commencement Bay Rowing Club.  She is team co-captain and competes in women's pairs and women's fours with coxswain boats.  In May, Kadie competed in the NW Regional Championships in Vancouver, Washington and took first place in both her races.  As a result, she qualified in both her events for the US Youth National Rowing Championships in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in June.

Kadie was recently invited to participate this summer in the US Rowing Junior Selection Camp in order to compete for a place on the national junior team.  Thirty high school women will attend the camp held in New Lime, Connecticut to compete for 15 seats on the US Junior World team which competes in August in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.  Those not selected to the National Junior Team will still have the honor of being part of the 2013 Junior World Development Team.
