On May 17th Annie Wright freshman Samantha Weeks and senior Margaret Taylor competed in the district tennis tournament. Both qualified for districts as a result of placing 2nd and 4th respectively at the League tournament the prior week.

Both players finished with identical positions in the district tournament. Margaret finished 4th, beating players from both Charles Wright and Coupeville. She lost her only match to teammate Samantha. Samantha placed second after a loss in the finals.

Both Samantha and Margaret will represent Annie Wright in the state tournament in Yakima next Friday and Saturday.
