Congratuations to AWS seventh grader Emily Betts for demonstrating exceptional geographic knowledge at the Washington State National Geographic Bee held at Pacific Lutheran University on March 30, 2012. Betts was tied for first place throughout the first round, but was ultimately outscored and did not make it into the finals. AWS is proud of her representation at this event and for advancing so far in the competition.
