AWS sophomore Grace Shuman '14 represented Annie Wright Upper School and the entire Pierce County region at the Poetry Out Loud state championship on March 10, 2012 at the Rialto Theater in Tacoma. She competed against eleven other participants from across Washington state. Grace presented two very strong readings, but, unfortunately, did not advance to the national competition. Annie Wrihgt Schools are tremendously proud of her to have progressed as she did in the competition, setting the bar even higher for next year’s event!
