Annie Wright was one of nine schools selected out of more than 100 applicant schools in the nation to participate in the
National Evolutionary Synthesis Center's "Darwin Day Roadshow." The event brings evolutionary scientists into classrooms to share with students modern developments and research in the field of evolution.
Biologist
Robin Smith, PhD from Duke University and paleontologist
Jenny McGuire, PhD from UC Berkeley spent a day at Annie Wright on Tuesday, February 14, working with students in grades kindergarten through 12 on a wide range of topics including climate change, careers in science, fossil hunts and field exploration. The scientists shared information about their research, what it takes to become an evolutionary scientist, and why evolutionary science is relevant to everyone.
