AWS Kindergartener Among First Children to Get Vaccine at UW Press Event
Kindergartener Laila Greaves was among some of the first children, age 5-11, to get the COVID vaccine at a University of Washington press event on Wednesday, November 3, in Shoreline, Washington. Check out this article in The Seattle Times, featuring Laila and her family.
Laila's mother Natasha shared, "Laila was super excited to see herself on TV and still gets a kick out of that when the news runs. Her delight helps to move us forward and let go of that bumpy ride. She reminds us of what it means to be present and live in the here and now."
Natasha has also offered to be a resource to any AWS families who have questions. "Part of us being part of the UW press event is to use our experience to help start discussion about what is best. It's an individual decision but we are open to talking about our journey and how we made our decision. If anyone in the community wants to contact us, we are ok with that."
