An Annie Wright education has always emphasized giving back. Gifts to the Annual Fund over the last 130+ years have supported this effort and inspired alumnae to make a lasting difference in the world. Here are just a few examples from our latest edition of Strength magazine.
Ginny (Martin) Butler '66 led a drive with her husband Dan to open a Boys & Girls Club for their community in Dayton, WA.
Suzanne Smith '82, who died last year after a valiant fight with recurrent breast cancer, was not only one of Annie Wright's most pioneering and generous philanthropists, but also donated her time, talent and treasure to friends, employees, families in need, arts programs, educational institutions, shelter animals and more.
Gillian Wood '98 started a non-profit to support young victims of sexual exploitation.
Jagmit Dhami '16 worked on a project to honor the sacrifices of immigrants in the Pacific Northwest by building a monument in Bellingham, WA, and creating a scholarship fund for first generation students.
