Juniors Get College Admissions Practice in Wright Connection

Annie Wright Schools and Charles Wright Academy co-hosted the annual “Wright Connection” for junior students and their parents on April 16 and 17. The event involves a simulation intended to teach students about the college application process, where students become admissions counselors for part of an afternoon. Each group was facilitated by a visiting admissions dean, and they made admissions decisions about fictional applicants for a fictional university. Students also had the opportunity to connect with the admissions representatives and learn about their colleges.

In addition to the simulation held for students, the schools also hosted a question and answer panel for parents, facilitated by visiting college deans. The
colleges included
Boston University, Case Western Reserve, Connecticut College, Kenyon College, Lake Forest College, Lewis & Clark College, Pacific Lutheran University, University of Puget Sound, Santa Clara University, Sewanee: University of the South, University of Virginia and Washington & Lee University.
