Lisa Isenman
Yellow Tie Class of '17 student Aurora Hake is one of ten winners in a nation-wide contest for girls in Grades 9-12 to explore the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. The rigorous application process for this program, called Marvel's Thor: The Dark World Ultimate Mentor Adventure, included interviewing University of Washington particle physics professor Dr. Anna Goussiou and then filming herself speaking for five minutes. The winners will be flown to California for a week to interview with influential professional women in the STEM fields, gain access to non-public labs and participate in experiments. Learn more about the contest at http://dep.disney.go.com/ultimatementoradventure. Congratulations Aurora!
