Kathleen Olson, Executive Director of the Tacoma Humane Society, spoke to Blue Ties on January 15 as part of the Social Action Passion Project for 9th graders. Honored guests included 15-year-old chihuahua Nina and rescue dog Elroy, who was trained as a therapy dog. The initial meeting to form the Humane Soceity of Tacoma was held at Annie Wright 125 years ago.
