Getting the Annie Wright dormitory ready for 90 girls to take up residence takes a lot of time and effort. In mid-August, ten senior prefects arrived to begin the work. Addie Francis, Suzie Zeng, Emma Middleton, Sarah Lee, Inessa Palchikova, Leilei Wu, Manmit Dhami, Mao Terada, Pin Siriviroj and Nun Luangphetngam began a process of leadership training, including an overnight camping trip, as well as undertaking all of the chores necessary to welcome the boarding students.

This year, the process was made more complicated due to the renovation of all of the rooms on the third floor. Among hundreds of other projects, the prefects made sure furniture was in place and each room was ready for its tenant. They equipped the new prefect lounge and welcome signs were made for doors and halls.

As a thank you for all their work, on Saturday, September 8, Mr. Bates took the prefects, minus poor Inessa who had to take the ACT, to lunch and a thank you cruise on Puget Sound.
