The annual Geobee for grades 6-8 was held January 13, 2012 in the Kemper Theatre. Champions of preliminary class rounds took turns answering geography-related trivia questions until three competitors remained for the final round. Seventh grader Emily Betts was crowned first place, followed by eighth grader Owen Fitz and sixth grader YaXi Stapp placing second and third respectively. Teachers Kyle Price and David Gardner facilitated.
