In February, Annie Wright had 38 risk-taking Upper School students take the American Math Competition (AMC) 10/12, the leading national high school mathematics contest organized by the Mathematical Association of America. Congratulations to all of our students for participating in this contest!

The following six students qualified for the AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination):

• Avery Ma, Upper School for Girls Red Tie '22
• Charles Chen, Upper School for Boys Green Tie '23
• Josh Paik, Upper School for Boys Red Tie '22
• Leo Chung, Upper School for Boys Green Tie '23
• Terence Chiu, Upper School for Boys Green Tie '23

An extra round of applause for Charles and Terence, who both earned Certificates of Distinction as well, scoring in the top 5% nationwide.
