Annie Wright Continues Comprehensive Safety Procedures

Recent news of shootings has understandably raised concerns about school safety. Annie Wright continues to have comprehensive safety protocols in place.

Every fall the school's Emergency Response Program Coordinator sends a letter to parents outlining the school's emergency preparedness protocols. These include tests of our emergency alert system, emergency drills in evacuation, lockdown and shelter-in-place procedures, and a comprehensive emergency response system throught FEMA called the National Incident Management System, a collaboration with first responders in which every member of faculty and staff has an important role and is properly trained.

In addition, every exterior door of the school is locked with key, fob or key code entry only, and cameras throughout the property allow the school's security staff to monitor people on our campus. The school continues to follow the best protocols to keep students safe while maintaining a warm, community atmosphere.
