AWS Volleyball Coach Jeff Grosshans Wins National Award

Upper School Varsity Volleyball Coach Jeff Grosshans won a Positive Coaching Alliance's Double-Goal Coach® Award Presented by TeamSnap. He was one of 50 chosen from 150 finalists selected from over 2,000 nominations from throughout the United States.

Coaches are evaluated on high standards for team success and on their ability to teach life lessons through sports and empower athletes with positivity and a culture of respect and honoring the game.

Grosshans became head volleyball coach at Annie Wright in 2016, and after an undefeated first season, was named Emerald City League Coach of the Year. Previously he served as head varsity volleyball, bowling and lacrosse coach at Curtis High School and has taught health and fitness to middle school students in University Place since 1999. In addition to working in schools, Jeff has been director of University Place and South Sound Volleyball Clubs. He received his BA from PLU and his MA from Concordia University.
