Upper School Theatre Activity to Perform Fêtes de la Nuit
“Paris is like an escargot… From where shall we eat it?” — Lartigue in Charles M. Mee's Fêtes de la Nuit
Annie Wright's Upper School Theatre Activity will perform Fêtes de la Nuit by Charles M. Mee, on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 at 7:00 pm in the Kemper Theater. The performance, most appropriate for audiences of 13+, is free.
Sometimes cabaret, often existential, frequently romantic, occasionally absurd, and ever the celebration, Charles M. Mee’s Fêtes de la Nuit presents a tapestry of Parisian sounds, images, and conversations. Just as the play clings to the familiar icons of an iconic culture, it begs us to embrace the city’s evolution as a mecca of multicultural civilization. Joie de Vivre!
