AWS Library & Learning Commons Inaugurates New Lego Wall
Grade 2 students recently inaugurated the new Lego wall in the media lab, funded by the Annie Wright Parents' Association and built by our maintainence department, with a special message. We are very excited to have this addition as we continue to develop our design and maker spaces.
The Lego wall is a space for students of all ages to create and design a variety of projects, for example stop animation movies, building challenges and programs using Lego Robotics. Working with Lego develops interest and skills in math, science and engineering. Extended Day will also start using the wall soon.
Special thanks to our wonderful AWSPA and maintenance department. Have any Lego pieces you know longer use? We would love to reuse them on our wall! Drop them off any time at the front or 10th Street entrances. For more information, contact Educational Technology Director Angela Heath.
