Welcome to Summer at Annie Wright Schools, where we encourage kids to be kids!

Summer@Annie Wright day camps and summer learning programs offer inquiry-based adventures. We aim to balance fun with learning, so that campers can spend their summer exploring, making new friends and gaining new skills.

Times: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
Open to: Kids from ANY school, age 4 to Grade 8.
 
SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAMS
Dates: July 6-August 14, 2020 (enrollment is in two-week sessions for residential students and weekly for day students)
Open to: Kids from ANY school, ages 10-14

  • Camp Counselor Summer Staff

    Annie Wright is seeking Staff for Summer@Annie Wright, beginning on June 15, 2020 and ending on August 14, 2020. Availability for a minimum of four consecutive weeks is required. Hours may vary and will not exceed 40 hours per week.

    Position Overview: duties & responsibilities
    Summer@Annie Wright offers an inquiry based adventure. We aim to balance fun with learning so that campers can spend their summer exploring, making new friends, and gaining new skills. Summer@Annie Wright includes a variety of week-long camp experiences, including STEM, Robotics, Creative and Performing Arts, Sports, and more! 

    Camp Counselors will: 
    • Provide support and supervision for campers and lead a variety of activities for week-long experiences for campers.
    • Supervise campers on the playground and in other settings
    • Track campers’ attendance
    • Provide support to camp leadership and Specialty Camp Instructors
    • Lead lesson plans & activities such as arts & crafts or games. 
    • Work between 7:00 am-6:00 pm, and will commit to a minimum of 6 hours per day. 

    Qualifications
    • Must be at least 18 years old by June 15, 2020.
    • Is reliable, proactive, and has a solution-oriented mindset
    • Has excellent oral communication skills, ability to contribute in a team environment, be skilled in conflict resolution, and interface well with varied constituencies
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, the ability to work independently
    • Is eligible to work in the United States

    Salary & benefits
    This is an hourly, non-exempt part-time summer position.

  • Specialty Camp Instructors

    Annie Wright Schools is seeking Specialty Camp Instructors for Summer@Annie Wright, beginning on June 15, 2020 and ending on August 14, 2020. Specialty Camps run daily either: 9:00 am -12:00 pm, 1:00-4:00 pm, or 9:00 am-4:00 pm.

    • Design and lead week-long experiences for campers. 
    • Are responsible for all aspects of their Specialty Camps, including:
      • Planning curriculum,
      • Purchasing supplies,
      • Monitoring campers throughout the week, and 
      • Supervising Junior Camp Counselors who may assist in the camp experience. 

    Qualifications
    • Must be at least 18 years old 
    • Demonstrates expertise in the area of their speciality camp
    • Has experience working with and managing groups of students
    • Is reliable, proactive, and has a solution-oriented mindset
    • Has excellent oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to contribute in a team environment, be skilled in conflict resolution, and interface well with varied constituencies
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, the ability to work independently
    • Is eligible to work in the United States

    Salary & benefits
    This is a part time, summer position. Specialty Camp Instructors receive 50% of enrollment fees for their specialty camp.

    • Work between 7:00 am-6:00 pm, and will commit to a minimum of 5 hours per day.

    • Must be at least 16 years of age 
    • Demonstrates a positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to work independently
    • Is reliable, proactive, and has a solution-oriented mindset
    • Has excellent oral communication skills, ability to contribute in a team environment, be skilled in conflict resolution, and interface well with varied constituencies
    • Is eligible to work in the United States

    This is a summer unpaid, volunteer position.
