The Math Admissions Test is a computer-based test used to determine your math preparedness. This test, in combination with your transcript, will help determine the appropriate math course for you at Annie Wright Schools, as there are several math course options in each grade. If accepted, you will be notified of your math course placement when new student schedules are created. If you desire to challenge your math placement, a Math Placement Challenge Test will be offered several times before the start of the new school year.
No calculators or outside resources are allowed on this assessment. Students with an IAP/IEP should discuss accommodations with
admissions prior to taking this assessment.
Answer the questions in the Math Admissions Assessment to the best of your ability. Students find more success when writing down the original problem and their work in an organized way on paper before selecting an answer. You may not be able to answer all questions; if you do not know what the question is asking, do not panic. Simply leave the question blank and proceed to the next question. Once you begin the exam you must complete it, you cannot stop and return to complete it at a later time.
An adult proctor (ie. parent, relative, or teacher) must be present for the entirety of the test to ensure that the use of a calculator was prohibited, no external help was accessed, and the exam was completed within 60 minutes.
Best of luck and thank you for considering Annie Wright Schools for your next educational experience.
