We believe in giving students the time and space to explore and pursue their passions. Our program provides students the opportunity to do just that: do the things they love in authentic, meaningful ways, within a framework that both encourages independence and provides support from faculty who truly know their students. Here are some of the ways we nurture passions:

Advisory, the anchor of the student experience at Annie Wright Upper School, provides regular touch points during the week. This intimate gathering of no more than ten students from mixed grade levels is the heart of community building. Advisors help students in academics and in pursuing their passions, identifying what motivates and inspires each individual and encouraging a healthy balance.

Students present or perform for an audience, exhibiting any authentic interest, passion, talent or pursuit. Advisors and other mentors coach students to become confident, polished and articulate performers.

CAS is a core element of the IB Diploma Programme in Grades 11 and 12. A framework for experiential learning and reflection, CAS focuses students' passions within the context of community service and engages students in issues of global importance.
