Grade 9 Student to Compete in Junior Olympics

Grade 9 student Gracie Kim will compete in USA Fencing Junior Olympics in Memphis, Tenessee, this weekend in two events: Cadet Women’s foil (U17) and Junior Women’s foil (U19). USA Fencing is the recognized national governing body for fencing in the United States and oversees the US Olympic team.

This is the 2nd year she has qualified to compete in Junior Olympics and her 2nd time traveling to the largest and most competitive event in fencing for this age group. She currently holds national points in women’s foil in the Y14 age group and is now looking to earn national points in cadet and junior events.

Gracie has already qualified for the Summer National Championships in St. Louis this June.
