With Record Basketball Season, Gators Host Playoffs on Tuesday

Last Thursday, February 7, Annie Wright Upper School for Girls varsity basketball team defeated Bush for their 15th win, achieving their best season in school history. Tomorrow night the Gators will host King's Schools for a playoff game at 7:00 pm in the Kemper Gym. 

The Senior class of Raquel Berman, Zyaire Cheatham, and Phoebe Brown will graduate with at least 37 total wins in their career, surpassing the previous 4-year best of 29 wins. Juniors Amhina Webb and Ali MacCord also bolstered the successful season. The team's leading scorer, freshman Juliana Walker, led with points and steals, averaging more than 35 points and nine steals per game. The Upper School for Girls varsity basketball playoff game is Tuesday, February 13, at 7:00 pm in the Kemper Gym. Ticket sales are required by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association for playoff games, and prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students, by cash or student account only. The game will be live streamed on Instagram via the student news team @anniewrightinkwell.
