Administrators & Faculty Travel across the Country for Professional Development

Annie Wright administrators and faculty model lifelong learning and represent Annie Wright Schools in conferences and professional development opportunities across the country. Several will travel to these before the end of June.

Head of Schools Christian Sullivan will attend the National Coalition of Girls' Schools conference in Washington, DC, June 25-27. Joining him will be Girls’ Business and Entrepreneurship Program Director Sandra Forero Bush and Innovative Projects Coordinator Joe Romano, who will present on the flexibility, design-thinking, innovation and willingness to iterate required to develop Annie Wright's new Girls’ Business and Entrepreneurship Program.

Assistant Head of Schools and Founding Director of the new Upper School for Boys Susan Bauska and Upper School Admissions Director Alyssa Harvey will attend the International Boys' Schools Coalition conference in Baltimore, MD, June 25-28. This year's conference focuses on how to inspire creativity, discovery and engagement and offers dozens of workshops focused on how boys learn and how to help them develop into responsible citizens in an ever-changing and global society.

Director of Middle School Bill Hulseman and Assistant Director of Middle School Clare Wagstaff will attend the Northwest Association of Independent Schools Leadership Institute in Leavenworth, WA, June 26-28. The theme this year focuses on adaptive and compassionate leadership.

Faculty members from Lower, Middle and Upper Schools will engage in a number of professional development opportunities, especially IB training and gender-specific best practices.
