Best Upper School Basketball Team in AWS History to Host Playoff Next Week
The most winning basketball team in Annie Wright Upper School history is hosting a playoff game on Wednesday, February 15 at 7:00 pm in the Kemper Gym.
The Varsity team has blown through the previous school record of ten wins with a current record of 14-5. Last night the Gators beat University Prep, with senior Abbey Turner scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds.
Overall the Gators are led in scoring by Turner, along with senior Virginia Miller and sophomore Amhina Webb. The team has outscored their opponents by more than 20% this season and have played stifling team defense, on average holding opponents to only 32 points.
