AWS Community Makes a Profound Impact

The Annie Wright community includes physicians and other medical workers, first responders, a variety of essential service providers and many others who devote themselves to the community and are currently working under perilous and stressful conditions.

Other AWS families are also pulling for this community. Families of Chinese students have rallied around and organized through AWS to send 40,000 surgical masks, including the much-needed N-95 masks, to our local hospitals. A local parent is a high level executive for an outdoor clothing and equipment manufacturer that is using its Seattle factory to produce medical masks, pledging 200,000 daily by June. A group of parents organized to purchase over 100,000 surgical disposable gloves, and MultiCare collected these from AWS yesterday. A parent-owned restaurant has been discounting and delivering donated meals to local hospitals for healthcare providers.

These are just a few examples. This is a caring community, and Annie Wright Schools honor and have the deepest gratitude to the individuals who are making a difference during these difficult times.
