AWS highlighted by National Association of Independent Schools

National Association of Independent Schools President Donna Orem highlighted Annie Wright Schools in a November 12 article about new models of financial sustainability. The article appeared in the Independent School Magazine blog Independent Ideas, which explores timely and relevant issues and trends in education. Orem contacted Head of Schools Christian Sullivan recently about opening Annie Wright's new Upper School for Boys last year.

In a section entitled "When You Can't Afford Not to Take the Next Step," Orem mentions Annie Wright's long and unique history, issues of long-term stability and cultural challenges to opening a new division for boys. "Sullivan and the board worked hard to bring the community together on the proposed expansion," she wrote. "This expansion will put the school in a much better place financially, allowing it to retire long-term debt, and expand its reach."
