World Affairs Council Events

Annie Wright Schools partner with the World Affairs Council Tacoma to offer talks and events of interest to the local and global communities.

The monthly Travel Talk series, hosted by Annie Wright, focuses on international scholar-travelers and different countries around the world. Global Classroom, an interactive speaker series that explores in-depth issues of global significance and their local implications, is a collaboration between the World Affairs Council Tacoma, the University of Washington Tacoma's Institute for Global Engagement and the Division of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs.

The World Affairs Council Tacoma (WACT) is an organization devoted to promoting activities that enhance public awareness and interest of international, cultural, economic and political issues. Annie Wright Upper School business teacher Sandra Bush is a member of the WACT board. Annie Wright Schools also host the organization's annual international reception.
