Early Childhood at Annie Wright

Our Preschool program provides the building blocks for learning core academic skills in reading, writing and math. At the same time, these young learners play…a lot. That’s because our teachers know that three to five year-olds learn best through imaginative, creative play that develops out of and expands each child’s own natural curiosity. We never forget that early childhood is a magical time of individual growth, discovery and development.  So play—structured and unstructured—lies at the heart of all we do.

A World Class Independent School with Year-Round Coverage

Our Preschool includes year-round programming and before- and after-school care at no additional charge. Contact Joy Phelps by email or phone at 253.284.8602 to learn more.
Play with Purpose
Our Early Childhood Program provides a play-based environment where children make decisions, take appropriate risks, ask questions, and respect their learning time together.
Individualized Approach
Teachers carefully construct learning opportunities to meet individual needs, offering a variety of activities and materials. The program engages eager and motivated children and honors and cultivates the individual journey of each child.
Cultivating children’s natural curiosity and creativity, teachers design investigations that foster joy in learning and an internally motivated drive to engage with the world around them and explore foundational academic skills.
