Annie Wright celebrates Middle Schoolers! Grades 6-8 faculty greatly enjoy helping tweens and teens navigate this period of self-discovery and wouldn't dream of teaching another age group. The Middle School offers rich, engaging programs that prepare students for success in high school and beyond. Annie Wright Middle School provides:

  • team sports beginning in Grade 6
  • performance opportunities in theater, orchestra and more
  • strong preparation and support in the transition to Upper School

Middle School Admission Process

  • 1. Submit an Inquiry Form

    Students and families interested in Annie Wright Schools may initiate the admission process by submitting an inquiry form here. Once we receive the form, a member of our admissions team will be in touch about next steps. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • 2. Attend a Preview or Schedule a Campus Tour

    There is nothing we enjoy more than sharing our campus and classrooms with prospective families. Please check out our preview schedule. Campus tours can be scheduled via the online application checklist. Please click here to create an application account and schedule a tour.   • 3. Complete the Online Application

    We are still accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year in some grades and we have opened the application process for the 2023-2024 school year. Our online application can be found here

    • Our application deadline for the 2023-2024 school year is February 1.
    • The application includes a non-refundable $80 application fee.
    • The Official School Transcript can be uploaded by parents via the online application checklist. We require last year’s and this school year’s transcript (to date).  
    • The Teacher Recommendation Request is included in the online application and requires the student’s current teacher’s email address.
  • 4. Schedule a Visit Day, Assessments & Interview

    A candidate will spend a day at school paired with a student guide. The visit day includes the assessments and interview. Links to schedule the visit day, assessments and interview are included in the online application checklist. Please contact Maddy Mancuso at 253.284.8603 with any questions.
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: Annie Wright Schools offer I-20 materials to students starting in Kindergarten. Families are required to provide an official bank statement and a copy of the student's passport. Boarding begins in Grade 9. Until then, international students must live with a family member.

Ticket to Thrive

Ticket to Thrive is the formal conclusion of the Middle School admission process. The event, which takes place each February, helps students and parents learn more about our campus and school culture. Participation in Ticket to Thrive ensures an early decision for the following school year.
