September Parent Volunteer Opportunities
Annie Wright is a very special community in part due to the strength and involvement of parent volunteers. The AWSPA is in need of volunteers to assist with the following events in September:
Back-to-School Family Picnic
Friday, September 7, 5:30-8:00 pm
This fun annual event, held the black top and soccer field, needs 15-20 volunteers (one-hour commitment) to help set up and take down tables and chairs as well as monitor the picnic games. Please contact Lisa Jangard at 253-973-4251 or Amy Betts at 253-906-8391 if you would like to volunteer. Families are also asked to share their favorite salad, side dish or dessert at the picnic. Family last name beginning with A-M, please bring your favorite salad or side dish; N-Z, please bring your favorite dessert.
Student Picture Day
Wednesday, September 12, 8:00 am- 2:00 pm
What could be more fun than sharing our children's excitement on Picture Day? The AWSPA is in need of 5-6 volunteers (2-hour commitment each) to help with Picture Day coordination and ensure that everyone is looking their very best. Please contact Amy Betts at 253-906-2983 if you would like to volunteer.
Annual Fund Kick-off (Free Lattes!)
Friday, September 21st, 7:00-10:00 am
Help us get the year off to a great start by volunteering at the Annual Fund Kick-off as we provide free, unlimited lattes to all who make a gift to the annual fund in support of students and programs at Annie Wright Schools. We need 10-12 volunteers to deliver coffee over two shifts (7:00-8:30 am and 8:30-10:00 am). The first shift will deliver lattes to cars in morning drop-off locations and accept annual fund gifts from parents. The second shift will deliver coffee to classrooms and accept annual fund gifts from faculty and staff. Please contact Alicia Hinckley at Alicia_hinckley@aw.org or 253-284-5413, or Amy Betts at 253-906-2983 if you would like to volunteer.
For more information about parent volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved, please contact AWS Parent Volunteer Coordinator Amy Betts at 253-906-2983.
