This is the Premier gathering place at AWS. This spacious room is perfect for weddings, receptions, banquets, seminars and other large meetings. The room has recently been painted and redecorated. The fireplace may be used to add to the warmth of this wonderful space. The Great Hall is filled with many antique cabinets, chairs and tables that are permanent fixtures in the room and add to the spaces warmth and character. The Great Hall will accommodate a maximum of 150 people for a sit down meal and up to 200 for a "Cocktail" style event.

The piano in the Great Hall may be used for your event provided you are using an approved musician. An additional usage fee may be added to the fee schedule for the use of the piano.

The Huston Room, which is located at the east end of the Great Hall, was the original Library at AWS and still contains some of the original book collection as well as the original shelving. This lovely and inviting room is ideal for small business meetings or luncheons and is equipped with a large antique conference table that can comfortably seat up to 12. The fireplace may be used during your event.

The Bamford Commons is a relatively new addition to AWS although you would never know it by looking at the architecture. Great care was taken with the design of this area to insure it blended flawlessly with the original building. The Bamford Commons can accommodate up to 350 for a sit down style event or up to 400 for a more casual cocktail style event. Rental of the Bamford Commons includes the Hofius Garden.

Hofius Garden, an idyllic, gravel path contemplation garden tucked away in a sunken corner of the Bamford Commons, is a picture perfect site for your small, intimate wedding ceremony. The garden is surrounded on all sides by the classic brick beauty of Annie Wright School including an amazing brick arched portico, perfect for the bride's procession and grand entrance.

"Yeah Baby, This is what I call a Dining Room!" This was a comment made by one of our 2nd graders on his first visit to this new dining hall. The Klarsch Hall Dining Room is really an inviting space, complimented by large windows, beautiful wood trim, and a working fireplace, this room really is a sensational place for parties and receptions.

The tables in the dining room (mostly antiques original to the school) are included with the rental fee. The large wooden tables may not be moved from the dining room. The small "cafeteria" style tables can be moved out of the room. The fireplace may be used during your event.

The wooden tables and chairs in the dining hall will seat 125 people. You can add tables and chairs to bring the capacity of the room up to 200.

The use of the Terrace is included with the rental of the Klarsch Hall Dining Room. The terrace will seat 100 for a "sit-down" event and 120 for a cocktail style event. (Available only mid-June through mid- July)

This beautiful terrace provides a unique and inviting atmosphere for luncheons, BBQs or special evening events. The terrace will accommodate up to 100 people for a "sit down" event and as many as 120 for a more casual "cocktail" style event.

There are no tables or chairs included in the rental of the terrace. Please note that the wooden tables and chairs in the dining room may not be moved out onto the terrace.

The Raynor Chapel was built and paid for by the Annie Wright Alumnae Association and it very dear to the Annie Wright community. Raynor Chapel can accommodate up to 400 seated guests. The sound equipment in the Chapel is available for use during your event.

Raynor Chapel also has a beautiful pipe organ and organist which are available for your service. The services of the organist are not included in the rental fees.

The Bishop's Suite is located above the Huston Room. These rooms make a great place for wedding parties to dress and prepare before the big event. Use of the Bishop's Suite is included with a minimum eight hour rental of the facilities when you are having a wedding in the Great Hall, Bamford Commons or Klarsch Hall.

The Kemper Center was added to the AWS Campus in 1986. The Kemper Theatre has a spacious light booth with a user-friendly computer board, a sound mezzanine which allows the operator to hear the event through the air, onstage speakers and monitors, floor microphones and standing microphones. The stage is a 40' wide proscenium stage with modest apron, and has a full fly system, shop, modest wing space and one off-stage dressing room. Two additional locker rooms with toilets and showers are located nearby. The house seats 350 patrons and shares a lobby and concession booth with the gymnasium.

Parking is limited to a small lot adjoining the theater; there is ample on-street paring. Kemper Theatre has disabled parking spaces and seating. Special arrangements for the use of the Kemper Center must be made with our Theater Director.

The Kemper Gym is available for sporting events, fund raisers, etc.

Due to insurance issues the AWS pool is only available for rent to current AWS community members and alumnae. If you wish to rent the pool special arrangements must be made with our Aquatics Instructor. The pool must be staffed by at least one certified life guard.
