Fall Upper School Athletics Update

Congratulations to our Fall athletes on an incredible season. Please read below for a season recap!

US Cross Country
  • District Championships: Will C. ’25 destroyed the competition and won the District title last Saturday at Chambers Bay. The 2nd place runner was 45 seconds behind Will!
  • Next Race: State Championships are Saturday in Pasco.
  • Outlook: Will enters State as the #2 overall seed. In cross country, times are never as relatable as they are in track and field due to the differences in each course. Will could just as easily be the favorite. Regardless, Annie Wright is being represented quite well this fall season. Good luck, Will!
USG Soccer
  • Districts: The team beat East Jefferson on Saturday at District Quarterfinals and lost at Klahowya Secondary School at District Semifinals yesterday.
  • Next Game: 7:30 pm Thursday night at Central Kitsap HS vs Bellevue Christian.
  • Outlook: The game tomorrow is a winner to State/loser out scenario. If the Gators win, it will be the first time in school history that an Annie Wright soccer team has gone to the State tournament. Good luck, team!
USG Volleyball
  • Next Game: District Semifinals Saturday 11:00am @ Klahowya Secondary School vs Bellevue Christian
  • Outlook: After finishing the regular season with a 14-2 record, the Gators head to the District tournament as the #2 overall seed. The top 3 seeds from Districts will advance to the State tournament where the Gators took 2nd place overall last season.
USB Tennis
  • League Tournament: Doubles team, Miles D. ’25 & Finn K. ’24, advanced through their pool play bracket with a 2-1 record as did Grade 9 singles player Dennis Y. ’27.
  • Next Match: The players listed above head into the District tournament eyeing a bid to State. The top 2 singles and top 2 doubles teams will advance.
  • Outlook: This Gator team is very young. Don’t be surprised when AWS wins the League and District title outright next year.
