Senator Darneille Visits Grade 4

Senator Jeannie Darneille visited Grade 4 yesterday in the Sutton Room of the Library & Learning Commons. She talked about her background and role as a politician in the Washington state senate and then took questions from eager students about her favorite baseball team (The Rainiers), sponsoring bills, the upcoming election, gun control, her favorite part of her job (meeting constituents!), and why she was once described as "tough as a 50 cent steak."
