AWS Kindergartener Selected for "Kids Design Glass"
Kindergartener Norah Blake was selected as the Museum of Glass "Kids Design Glass" winner in October 2015. Norah was chosen after submitting an application and drawing of her design - "Skate Mouse". She and her family watched three glass artists create her design in glass during a two-hour session at the Museum of Glass hot shop. When asked how she came up with the Skate Mouse design, she wrote " I love skateboarding and I like to think about having a pet mouse who loves it too!"
Several pieces from the Kids Design Glass are currently on display in the front lobby and in the Library & Learning Commons at Annie Wright Schools. Skate Mouse will be on display as well, in the front lobby, in mid- to late-January.
