Class of '16 Student Gets Highest Distinction in Japanese Proficiency Test

Blue Tie Class of '16 student Felicia "Cia" Jones earned an "Ikkyu" or N1, the top ranking in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

The N1 score is often used as a prerequisite in the academic world for post-secondary teaching or research jobs, in the business world for interpretation/translation work or joining a Japanese corporation, and in the medical world for foreign doctors to be licensed in Japan. Earning this score is very rare for native English speakers.

Congratulations Cia!
