Annie Wright Exhibits Kids' Pieces from the Museum of Glass

Annie Wright is thrilled to exhibit six whimsical pieces on loan from the Museum of Glass Kids Design Glass Program. The exhibit, which includes two creations in the main foyer and four in the Library & Learning Commons, will run through May of 2016.

The Kids Design Glass Program invites children 12 and under to imagine, create and describe original creatures. Each month the museum chooses one entry to transform into a glass sculpture by the museum’s Hot Shop Team. A number of these creations are exhibited in the Museum of Glass itself.

Annie Wright’s exhibit includes such pieces as the “The Heart Broken Muscle Chicken Ninja,” who according to his creator, Aaron Stone (age 9) “is a giant chicken that is a black belt Ninja, has a lot of muscle and is heartbroken, and “Alien Dude,” described by artist Abby Wall (age 8) as “a teardrop body, two half circles, monkey feet, no arms, and a frown face with sharp teeth.”
