All-School Theater Performance Explores Social Justice

Lower, Middle and Upper School performers are uniting for a theatre festival focusing on the concept of social justice. The festival will run for one day only at 1:30 pm (Grade 5 only) and 7:00 pm (All-school production) today, Friday, November 14. The evening performance runs approximately two hours with a ten-minute intermission.

Lower School: After months of exploring various social justice issues, Grade 5 will present “Get up, Stand up,” inspired by interviews these students conducted with community members who shared personal stories of social justice.

Middle School: Grade 8 Music/Drama students will perform scenes and monologues from syndicated, Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Jules Feiffer's "Feiffer's People" and will contribute social and political commentary, comedy and satire to the evening's event.

Upper School: The Masque Players performing arts troupe will examine the workings of a judicial process in their all-female adaptation of Reginald Rose’s courtroom classic 12 Angry Men.
