Lower Schoolers Compete in Spark Challenge and Clock 73 Minutes of Exercise at School Per Day

The Lower School recently competed in the Spark public health organization's 25-Day Physical Activity Challenge. The challenge asked that students pledge to achieve at least 60 minutes of physical activity per day, for 25 days. The challenge ran September 25 to October 31, and the grand prize is $25,000 towards PE curriculum and equipment. This also in partnership with http://www.letsmove.gov which is headed by Michelle Obama.

Watch our exciting videos about this project!

This video comprises photos and videos of faculty and staff participating in physical activity to get the students excited about the challenge.

This video was our submission to the #SPARKchallenge to show our completion of 25 days of at least 60 minutes a day of physical activity. Our results? Just during school our Lower Schoolers averaged 73 minutes per day between recess, PE, swim, tennis, and in-class activities.

Both videos were featured on social media by Spark.
