Grade 8 Student Anni Liu Performs at Tacoma Moon Festival

Last Saturday, September 13, Annie Wright students and faculty took part in the
Moon Festival, celebrating Asian cultures in Tacoma's Chinese Reconciliation Park.

Among performers was Grade 8 student Anni Liu, who moved to Tacoma from Beijing two years ago so she could attend Annie Wright Day School.
Anni performed a song on an instrument called the guzheng about a fisherman who goes to sea at night. His boat is tossed by the waves, but the moon brings good fortune and a bountiful catch. (Anni was featured in Tacoma's News Tribune.)

Annie Wright Schools Chinese teachers Luna Yu and Alice Flores as well as several students were also there to help with activities and represent our school.
